If you are looking for a new way to improve your lawn this spring, why not invest in a new irrigation system. CMS landscaping has been in the sprinkler business since 1982 right here in Holyoke, MA as well as surrounding areas of Springfield, MA and Enfield, CT, we have what it takes to provide you with the best service and installation in the Suffield, CT industry.

When we arrive on your Westfield, MA property we do a visual survey to determine the best approach to provide the most efficient Chicopee, MA installation, with the least amount of disruption to your property located in Western MA. We will also ask to look in the cellar to be sure a proper plumping hookup is available. If not, then all plumbing will be by a licensed Springfield, MA plumber. We work with several Enfield, CT plumbers and we will notify yoou as to which plumber will be calling you.

Once that is established, we will flag out the sprinkler system. This will give us an estimate as to how many heads are required to complete the job. All heads will be placed to provide the head to head coverage. Our goal is to provide adequate coverage to all our Springfield, MA lawn areas.

Our estimator will also check the water pressure and volume. This helps to establish how many zones will be required to complete the installation of your Westfield, MA sprinkler system.

Upon acceptance of this contract and in preparation of the Suffield, CT installation, CMS Landscaping, Holyoke, MA will mark the corners of your property with paint marks or flags and contact the Dig Safe Program. Dig Safe will contact your Springfield, MA utility company and they will visit your property sand mark any underground water lines/wiring for dog fences, landscape lighting, pools and sheds, etc.

We will be happy to answer and questions regarding your Enfield, CT installation or Dig Safe Requirements.

This spring think CMS Landscaping, Holyoke, MA for all your sprinkler needs.

Here it is the 12th of June and it still feels cool, and until these past few days very dry. The lawns have been under stress, pressure from disease, and drought have created some pretty sick looking lawns. Red Thread and Leaf Spot are rampant. Hopefully the weather will change a bit and we’ll get some recovery from these problems. We are in the process of making our second application which for some of you includes grub proofing, remember this application should be watered in.

We’re off and running with our 35th season. Our lawn technicians are out making your first applications so you will be seeing them in the next few weeks. One of the first things that we have seen this spring is the large amount of snow mold and mice damage that occurred over the winter. Snow mold looks like yellow matted down patches in the lawn areas and mice damage looks like squiggly yellow trails in the lawn. (To find out more information about snow mold visit www.umassturf.org .) As the weather warms up, those areas will start to heal. To help the recovery, lightly rake out those areas.

Please remember that the first application is a pre-emergent crabgrass control so please don’t plan to do any spot seeding as the pre-emergent prevents all seed germination.

Our irrigation crews are out as well. Although - - - - I think you’d have to agree that it’s probably not much fun right now starting sprinklers all day when the weather is a nice balmy 40 degree rainy day. We will not be starting residential systems for a couple weeks when things warm up a bit.

Some things that we have done over the last few months include, spruced up our newsletter with a new name and new look, CMS CURB APPEAL, an enhanced CMS REFFERRAL PROGRAM and our IMPROVED WEBSITE. WWW.CMSLandscaping.com ckeck it all out on the website.
